Encircled by the Adamello - Presanella, Ortles Cevedale and Brenta mountain ranges, Passo Tonale, an excellent winter tourism destination, is a wide-open natural amphitheatre that offers splendid views ranging from between 1,884 to 3,100 metres in altitude, on the border between Lombardy and Trentino Alto Adige.

Completely exposed to the sun, it is an ideal place for learning to ski, with slopes suitable for beginners and experienced skiers and has always had a guaranteed long ski season thanks to the Presena glacier.

Not to be missed is the direct Presena-Tonale-Pontedilegno route, with 11 km of slopes and 1,740 m elevation difference to tackle in one breath or the legendary “black” run, Paradiso, 3 km long with an elevation difference of 710 metres and the long, panoramic Alpino slope 4,500 long and with an elevation difference of 725 metres.

In summer it is the ideal starting point for walks, hiking on the paths of the Great War and mountain bike rides along the Adamello Bike Arena tracks that can also be reached via the Paradiso gondola lift leading to the Presena glacier, also open in the summer for hikers and anyone wanting to try an excursion at high altitude.
